I really liked the jenny pattern and found the perfect cloth for it. It has a nice weight and a good amount of stretch. I really wanted to fully line it like a store-bought skirt I have with the nice folded over slit in the back. I scrutinized and measured the store bought-skirt and was able to copy it. There’s no seams showing, I pulled everything through the slit, which is done with a facing. For the hem and the zipper I sewed the skirt to the lining from the inside.
For all my trouble I used a beautiful red stretch lining so the entire thing stretches and really gives a nice shape. I’m really happy, it looks just like the skirt I was inspired by. It’s really worth the extra effort
