edit: i’ve worn this dress TWICE since i made it… so to the flickr swap pool it goes.
i wanted a loose summer dress to pick hubby up from the airport as it was three hundred and ten degrees here, so i decided to lengthen the jane… the boobs were WAY too big, i cut a 36, so i added darts and did something funky with the straps. i’m thinking of changing the straps to a different color, and adding a tie belt a la my BWOF shirt— OH! most importantly! i added extra width to the center fold, and did pin tucks to (hopefully) make it look less like a nightie.
i was sort of monumentally impressed with myself when i made this up, then when i finally acquired my first BWOF issue and found a similar shirt pattern, my ego became quite deflated. regarding this dress, at least :)

thanks for your sweet words on my page:) i did the skirt pre-burdastyle so i’m not THAT fast! i just went to michael levine today to pick up some stuff for that sweet wrappy blouse that you made—the one with the little cap-sleeve tabs. wish me luck! xo

thank you! i am surprised that people like it… probably because it’s been banned to the back of the closet as hubby deemed it see-thru. that said, i am currently working on a pair of pants so gauzy, they might as well be invisible.

wow, you’re just whipping up one thing after the other!! Very nice summery dress, I’d like one too, but after a week of summer the rain seems to be back to stay in London, so no real need for summer dresses here…..
