It’s been out in the rain once and didn’t leak. I used a cotton thread as someone suggested on the forum. The theory is that this expands when wet and fills the hole.

Amazing! I love the strawberries. I’ve always wondered about how sewing waterproof clothing, do they leak where the stitching is? Or do you use a special thread, like something waxed maybe? As for the popper, could you pry it off with a blunt knife? Maybe that would stretch the plastic though.
