One of my friends gave me a very gorgeous beachbag for my b-day, as you can see in the pic, designed and sewn by her. So, I decided to make a dress to complete my summer look. I used pattern no. 2 one-piece side drape top from the book Drape drape 2. Even though this garment is classified as a top in the book, the length of the pattern is enough to make a dress. The fabric used was silk knit. The only thing that I changed is the armholes and neckline hemming. The book gives instructions to make a double-fold tape with a tape maker using the stretch material but I just simply finished the armholes and neckline with a threefold edge-stiched seam. This dress/top was very easy to make and gives a chic touch to my beach look.
