This cute dress is a linen blend I bought far too many years ago! Daughter No2 pulled it out of my overflowing fabirc boxes last summer and pinned a note to it, asking for it to be made in Burdastyle no108 05/2011. It has taken a year to get round to it, but at long last, here it is!
Note to self – don’t use a stripe fabric when such acute angles are present in the shapes of the pattern pieces, matching will never happen!! It was a petite pattern, so I toiled it to check fitting, especially as Daughter No2 is anything but petite! The bodice was fine, but the skirt waay too short.
I’m really happy with it, it has a cute ‘60s vibe to it, and I know she’ll wear it as much as she can in the remaining gasps of summer. I might even try it in a wool crepe to wear with a long-sleeve tee for the winter…
On another note, Daughter no2 now has 27 Dresses….
