I guess the title should b strapless vintage inspired dress since i dun think people wore strapless dress back on the old days :D I think this type of dress is a great idea 2 make if u want a puffy, cute dress but ur piece of fabric is not too big (and its super simple 2 make too! ^^)

I would love to make this dress but I don’t understand the instructions either. I went to the learning portion of the site but didn’t find the instructions on the bodice you mentioned. And what about the skirt of the dress? Where are the instructions for that? :[

it might just be me cause i’m new with this and don’t know all the fancy terms :P but the bodice block?? i looked that up in the learning part… but i got confused on how that worked.. and the princess dart :)

Ok, so the basic bodice block is like a simple pattern that you use to develop more complecated pattern. All u have 2 do is get ur own measurements and follow the steps, and you will have a basic bodice block with ur own measurement (so when u use that block to make clothes it will fit you nicely, like custome made clothes). It is very useful becoz u can actually develop so many other pattern with it, so give it a try! and after you finish with that, let me know, and i will help with the princess seams.

Thankyou! As i remember, the fabric was 150cm in width, and 120cm in length. It depends on the size and how puffy u wanna make though. The bottom of the dress is juz a rectangle so it saves u a lot of fabric >,^
