Sometimes, the fabric calls and you just have to listen. As long as I’ve had this fabric (graphic white flower print on black with a border print along one selvage) I have taken it out of the drawer from time to time, draped it around my body, and known that it had to be a strapless dress with that border print as its bodice. The dress itself is very simple: a strap of fabric with the border print, faced with thin black cotton and a long A-line ‘skirt’. The dress closes with the tie at the back. Unfortunately, I only had just enough fabric to get the pieces out at all, so I couldn’t even start trying to match the print at te vertical seams.
black and white printed cotton (with some polyesther in it I’m afraid)
