I’m wanting to launch a Baby focused Etsy store and was contemplating what to make first. Suddenly I had an epiphany! And so the Stegosaurus Receiving Blanket was born. It’s hooded and meant to wrap around the child so that when held on your shoulder only the spikes show. I’m trying to decide if i need to make a tie so the mother can swaddle the baby or not.
Fleece scraps from when I made the fishy cat bed and a tiny amount of polyester fiberfil for the tail piece.
My sister Monica and her LOVE for stegosaurus. I wouldn’t have ever come up with this without her inspiration :D

this is sooooo cute!! bath towels a good idea as well and so is velcro, people can be worried about ties for babies. you’re now an inventor! :)

I love the idea. I WOULD add velcro to be able to swaddle the baby. And yeah, good luck with the store. Another idea: you could decline this in a baby bath towel, then without the closure, of course.
