I made this corset to wear to my boyfriend’s work Christmas party,.. any excuse to dress up!
It has a 20" waist and it was a struggle to eat my 3 course meal!

This is brilliant. The last corset I made was from a 16th century historic pattern, but next time I want a more Victorian look like this. Did you use a pattern, or design your own?

I went on a corset-making course in London a few years ago, and I got a pattern there, which I altered to my size, this has been changed so it’s more supportive so I can wear it on it’s own :)

Bummer! My pattern making skills are not up to scratch enough to tailor one to my measurements. Will have to keep up the search for a suitable pattern though!

I used an altered patter to fit my size. I get my things from venacavadesign.com which is really good and you can get all sorts of things on there!

yeah it thought it would look nice, took me while to choose how many panels to do lace, annoyingly I have no photos of the back!

Thanks ladies :D And it’s not that uncomfortable as the pressure inside the corset goes down after you’ve worn it for a while :)

That’s absolutely gorgeous. However I think I’d die if I tried to wear it! It looks lovely on you. (Also I dig the hair, mine was that colour for a while)
