I wasn’t sure about uploading this…it’s got some issues but it’s okay – learning lessons with each koo-koo project I try. I’ve never wrestled with so much steel boning! It was a hoot. Wish the organza wasn’t wrinkled in some spots, that was tricky patterning.
Steel boning, bias tape, polyester organza (couldn't afford the ritzy real silk organza, ha)

Lollipops Rainbows, you CAN make stuff like this! You can make whatever your heart dreams up…I promise.

what i really love about your projects is that you really run with your concepts, even if it does mean taking things to crazy extremes. it is great to have you on here sharing your kooky ideas, doing something so different from what most of us could even dream up.

Aww, Pambox, your message really made my night, thank you for the kind words. Everyone has been so incredibly encouraging, it’s been really fun uploading these photos.
I love your cat and biplane skirts! Fabulous (quirky, wink wink) fabric pattern choices!

Kelepso, thank you. I’ve been following you a bit on Burda…you auditioned for Project Runway, yes? I hope that turned out wonderfully for you!

Following me? Wow, I’m flattered! I’m still experimenting and learning what I enjoy the most about fashion – Men’s wear, women’s wear and now kids! Lol!
Q#2 – I submitted an application last month. Thanks for the well wishes.

What a great creation! Any chance of including the directions?

Hi bjr99 -
I would love to include instructions but the whole experience of patterning it and putting it together was pretty kooky. And klutzy. :) If I ever do it again, I’ll take step-by-step photos. Looking at how-tos for vintage panniers really helped in the construction for this too.

Wow! This is interesting! I’ve never seen something like this! I love it! Doesn’t look easy to make with all the boning! :0)

Ahh, it wasn’t easy but it sure was fun. I kept having to make trips back to the fabric store to buy more yards of boning. The ladies at the counter were pretty puzzled. :)

Well, I just love it and look forward to seeing more of your creations! Very passionate work! :0)
