Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I wasn’t sure about uploading this…it’s got some issues but it’s okay – learning lessons with each koo-koo project I try. I’ve never wrestled with so much steel boning! It was a hoot. Wish the organza wasn’t wrinkled in some spots, that was tricky patterning.
Material Notes
Steel boning, bias tape, polyester organza (couldn't afford the ritzy real silk organza, ha)

what i really love about your projects is that you really run with your concepts, even if it does mean taking things to crazy extremes. it is great to have you on here sharing your kooky ideas, doing something so different from what most of us could even dream up.

I would love to include instructions but the whole experience of patterning it and putting it together was pretty kooky. And klutzy. :) If I ever do it again, I’ll take step-by-step photos. Looking at how-tos for vintage panniers really helped in the construction for this too.

Ahh, it wasn’t easy but it sure was fun. I kept having to make trips back to the fabric store to buy more yards of boning. The ladies at the counter were pretty puzzled. :)
