My first attempt at making a victoriana-inspired outfit, created as one of my outfits for a steampunk convention.
I made the skirt, jacket and hat (corset, blouse and parasol are purchased). Skirt and Jacket were made using historical inspired patterns and the hat was made up as I went along! I am also wearing a victorian style, lace trimmed petticoat, which I also made but stupidly forgot to photograph.

Fabulous! My boyfriend is obsessed with steam punk, this is going to make his day when I show him! Bet you went down a storm at the convention

Thanks! Not a patch on what my boyfriend put together for his outfit – consisting mostly of bits of metal and tubing, so not really appropriate to post as a sewing project! :-)
Steampunk outfits are great fun to assemble though, working on a steampunk ballgown at the moment (fingers crossed!)
