Halloween costume I made (including the gear jewelry). SteamPunk esque. Love all things Steam. Bad cell phone pictures (sorry!) Jacket, Skirt, (apron thingy…don’t know what it’s called) black cotton. Corset and lapels of jacket, flocked poly of some sort..& a pain in the * to sew. Oodles and oodles of gold and black tulle for the crinoline. I layered the tulle (gold over black and so on because the skirt actually gathers up in two places in the back and forms a bit of a bustle and the tulle can be seen. The skirt is made of four panels, with the back panel being half again as wide as the others. I put eyelets at the top of those seams and laced it up, the lower half of each of those same seams I gathered upwards. This helped to create the faux bustle effect. I’m sorry that I don’t have a picture of the back to show. (maybe I will put it on again and snap some pics). Any way it was lot of work for a couple of hours of wear…but man it was fun!
