I knocked this little dress together the weekend before my holiday to the sunny Sicily, so that I could stay cool.
I used a lovely piece of silk charmuse, with funky selvages, which I bought from the fabric souk in Dubai earlier this year. It was thin, smooth, and breatheable – the perfect candidate for a cool summer number.
I used the Jamie shift dress pattern from the Burda book, and having tried it out previously I made it as a pullover dress without the zip. By doing so I was able to preserve the wonderful pattern better.
