This is a top i made last summer for a very special friend:) I wanted something glitzy yet simple, playful, that explores different perspectives of the print. I waited for an idea that would “click” for quite a while – i didn’t make a pattern for it as it’s quite simple – the upper part front and back is just one bias piece cut for the neckline and continued lower with a straight grain piece with circular elastic in the middle. There’s also elastic going around the waist and the waistband has double triangular ends that form a full 3dimensional shape that nicely complements the simplicity of the top. Result: natural flow and subtle magnetism!
