My sister wanted to do a Star Wars roleplay with me for her birthday this year, so I had to get together a semblance of a Han Solo costume. I wish I had had time to make a shirt and vest, but I only had time to slap together a gun belt. I used some brown pleather that I already had in my stash, and a piece of fun foam for the “clasp” in the front. I made up my own pattern, trying to get as close to the inspiration as possible. I used velcro for the belt closure, the leg strap, and on the straps on the gun holster. I put a pocket next to the clasp, and I also added a loop on the side of the belt to hold a lightsaber. I think overall it looks pretty good, and it’s super fun to wear. It instantly makes you feel like a space-pirate, haha. “Who’s scruffy looking?!”
Brown vinyl pleather, velcro, 1 sheet of grey fun foam, thread.
