Star Trek TNG Skant aka Coloblocked Dress

Added Jan 27, 2013

by Leila Breton

Indianapolis`, I...

I used one of my dress blocks and a vintage 60s dress to get the silhouette and then cut the lines for the color-blocking. I made this as a costume but I think it works as a basic color blocked dress if I don’t wear my combadge.

Blog post with a little scene I invented. Lots of whimsy if you like that sort of thing

Updated 2/27/2013: I’ve added a Skant Tutorial to my blog. Let me know if you make one or have any questions.

Material Notes

Love it! I dressed up for the opening of the last Star Trek, though my costume was mearly a pair of black capris, and a modified blue long sleve knit top, this is WAY better! Very nice!

But, still, that’s brilliant. I haven’t dressed up for a movie…yet. There’s time, right? thanks for the comment.
