Description

I named it this because it reminds me of some posh beach cover up that you would wear on the French Riviera (Yes I’m dreaming). Again it is another dress I made for me and didn’t fit. So like always one of my daughters gets it, and because my oldest is bigger then me she scored this time. This is an old 70’s Butterick pattern (6523) I wanted to try with gauze fabric. I had gotten this new belt and had imaged the kind of dress I wanted to make for it ,so here it is. She looks unhappy cuz she really wanted to go surf but I made her take pictures in it first, not too much to ask, for a new dress, Right!

Gorgeous! If you make it shorter it could become a tunic with a wide belt.

What a divine dress! your daughter is lucky! I really like the neckline and pleats – it looks great, you should make a smaller one for you
