I made the Anna for my daughter. We wanted to make her something special to wear to school on Green Day (in honor of St. Patrick’s Day) So, we gathered up a bunch of different fabrics – all green of course – and divided the Anna Pattern t along the darts to make a many paneled top. (I made a muslin first and discovered that the pattern fit her with almost no alteration!) All the different green prints look great together.
About halfway through I decided to make it reversible and picked a pretty green stripe seersucker for the inside. I just made two tops exactly the same and sewed all the way around, leaving an opening at the bottom to turn. Then I added the straps by slitting the stitches in the right place and slipping the strap through, and anchoring with hand stitches. It worked great as you can see in the picture.

How completely clever! Love all the colors and how you perfectly adapted them to this top. The photo is too much fun! I do a lot of design work in Photoshop. I’ll have to remember to do this. Thanks for the idea!

Wow, cool variation, I like it! Well sewn (and well photoshopped, it makes the picture really interesting). Thanks for posting the pictures!

Thanks Nora! We had fun making the top, then my daughter and her friend took the photos and I photoshopped them together! (so YES it is the same person – via Photoshop pixel magic.
