Vogue 1170: Misses’ Top and Skirt: Very-loose fitting top has front keyhole opening with knot, back yoke, back band, extended sleeves tied into knot and back button closing. Flared skirt, has front and back seam details, back invisible zipper closing and wide waistband.
I love the design of this skirt, but I do not like the length – so I added 7 inches. A cotton lining was added to the skirt because the quilting cotton was a bit too sheer for my taste.
I may have to make this up again in a heavier fabric at some point. And I would certainly recommend the pattern – this is not a silhouette I have come across before.
This skirt was finished almost three years ago, and this is the first time it has been worn. I am so pleased that I finally found something to match back to my skirt so I could wear it!
