Description

A simple circle skirt I made out of Madras for Colette patterns’ Spring Palette Challenge. I drafted the pattern myself (the first time I draft something!) following instructions I found in a Burda easy fashion magazine, but I guess I would have done exactly the same with the Linda pattern. Another tutorial on how to draft your own circle skirt is available on the website, if I remember correctly.

I cut the waistband on bias and hemmed it with Liberty bias. I love how full it is!

I blogged about it here

Material Notes

Sunny yellow and blue cotton madras, invisible zipper and Liberty of London bias tape, all found around march Saint-Pierre in Paris.

    Thank you evreyone!

And you’re right, Lauriana, they’re really fun to wear, not only for pirouetting, but because I feel quite dressed up with so much fabric around me!…

Nice dress, and I love the picture. It seems to show all the fun of wearing a dress like this.
