My younger brother is getting married in October (Spring here in Oz) to a lovely girl and I can’t wait! I have loved her and the Burdastyle Godet dress since they both first appeared and this was my opportunity to fulfill two wishes :) All the internal seams are bound as I was having tension problems with Trude Bernina and they weren’t looking pretty. Around 35 hours of work have gone into this dress and it is still not quite finished.
Modifications: I took 10 cm off the length as I am a shortie.
Modified the neckline to a round neck
Lined the front and back panels instead of interfacing them (hate interfacing!)
Topped each godet with an appliqued rosette from the main fabric
Sewed the top seam of the belt rather than letting it sit freely
Flutter sleeves instead of the plain sleeves of the pattern
Main fabric: “Country Gardens” cotton
Godets and belt: Silky soft Japanese cotton
Lining: Muslin (because it could be a hot day)
Stockings are Voodoo stay ups in :Moondancer"
Shoes are Edwardian Reproduction from an American Manufacturer

She modified this coat wonderfully by adding length and changing the pockets and collar
