This project is based on The Sewing Rabbit’s ePattern for the Side Bustle Skirt. The pattern was sized for 4T and 6T, so I had to grade it to a 5T. Here’s the link to the skirt: http://www.mesewcrazy.com/2013/09/side-bustle-kids-skirt-diy.html
I thought it would be fun to mix “stripes” and “polka dots” since both fabrics were in the same color family, and I figured my five-year old could probably pull it off :) She loves the way the skirt swings when she dances. Hopefully, spring weather will come soon
