Yes, spring’s coming to this part of the world, and I decided to make an outfit for my 7-year-old to wear when the days start to get warmer.
I had a lot of trouble with the top (Burda pattern 9578). I used jersey and I don’t have a serger. My machine just wouldn’t cooperate and kept on sucking the fabric. And the straps were just impossible! I was about to give up when I remembered I’d read that wrapping a piece of tissue paper around the edge of the fabric would do the trick. And it worked!
The skirt (McCall’s pattern 5169) was really easy. I know I could’ve made my own pattern for such a simple skirt but I was feeling lazy and this pattern looked very cute.
