My version of the pinafore dress, it is a lightweight cotton printed with birds from Ikea. It was white but I decided to dye it green, it came out quite a bit more green than I anticipated but I’ve grown to like the colour. I had to make a few adjustments as my top and bottom half are different sizes. I also added a button as I am of the opinion that there are few things in life that can’t be improved with the addition of buttons. I like the simple shape and bright colour, it makes me feel all springy!

Thanks! The fabric took the dye really well, i did prewash it just to make sure. I liked the white fabric but as I’m an arts worker white is just not a good idea!

Oooh I have some of this fabric, I have half made a top but am not enjoying the white. Never thought about dying it! Thanks for the idea. I may have to dig it out and buy some dye, :)
Buttons are a great addition too :) Well done, it looks lovely
