Description

My soon-to-be Sister-in-Law is having a high tea in September so I just had to make something new.
The skirt is The Gorgeous Gore Skirt from StyleArc.com.au and the top is another Spring Top from the free pattern at CraftHabit.com.
Both projects came together very easily, with clear instructions and almost no fitting issues (actually, I have never had fitting problems with Style Arc patterns).
Feel pretty happy with this little ensemble.

Material Notes

Japanese stretch woven, cotton sateen (I think this has got to be my favourite fabric to work with and wear, just beautiful).

Aren’t gore skirts just the best for feeling flirty and feminine? And looking flirty and feminine, LOL.

I love the print on this. The outfit is fresh and cool looking.

Memo to me: find some Japanese stretch cotton sateen to try!

Oh yeah, it is lovely to work with and stays crisp, much easier than knits. I haven’t worn a gore skirt for nearly 35 years as they always reminded me of Junior High School, but this year I was given one and am a convert :)
