I modified the danielle dress pattern to create an ultra-easy spring dress. I lowered and rounded out the neckline, cut 10 1/2 inches off the bottom (because I’m a shorty—5’1") and omited the sleaves by turning the armhole fabric in 5/8ths of an inch and top stitching all around to finish them off. For this dress, I also cut the pattern down to a 34 which fit much better than my first attempt with this pattern— the purple crane dress I had cut at a size 38.
1/2 yard white sateen solid cotton and fabulous fruit printed poplin. 22 inch white polyester all purpose zipper.
thank you burdastyle for the fabulous pattern and inspriation!

I realy love how you combined the fabrics! The fruit fabric is great! I think it’s clever to shorten to make it younger and fresher.
