I actually finished this dress a while ago (like January!) but I wore it for the first time today! It’s getting warmer and I’m starting to get brave enough to go to school with out wooly tights and a coat! Today the sun was out and our beautiful yellow bushes are in full bloom. And like usual my darling cat showed up and the dress photo shoot morphed into a cat photo shoot!
This dress was made using McCall’s 6331 pattern. I bought the fabric on sale at JoAnn’s back in October. The pictures don’t show that the dress isn’t actually solid green but covered in little white flowers. I loved the collar on the dress but I wasn’t a huge fan of the scalloped skirt so I drafted my own circle skirt (First time drafting ANYTHING). The pattern directions were a tad confusing and as usual I made the smallest size and it’s still too big. but I’m still pretty pleased with the final product!
I look forward to wearing this dress all summer!
