Brooklyn, New Yo...
Really digging this dress in this fickle spring weather. It’s really lightweight but has longer sleeves which help keep me from getting too chilly.
This dress is also a first for me in a couple of ways… it’s my first dress with sleeves, my first dress using gathering and my first dress finished using my new serger!
I used Polynesian Patterns 190 and a lightweight printed cotton. Didn’t stray too much from the original pattern except for shortening the dress into a mini-dress (also because I’m only 5’2). I also top-stitched the back facing down because it wasn’t staying on the inside of the dress.
