Used Pattern #12C of Burda Magazine Sew Easy and Fast F/W 2011 – basically a full circle skirt.
Easy to sew, but need someone who has the textile pleating machine (in my case it turned out expensive).

Didn’t know there are fabric pleater machines, or pleater boards. I love it.
How do you keep the pleats from staying when you wash it, though?

The maximal temperature is 30° degrees, however chemical (dry) cleaning is better recommended. I haven’t washed it yet (haven’t really wore it either) so I am a little concerned of this whole process too :)

Stunning. And the perfect colour to balance your skin with the black. You’ve got a great eye. :)

Absolutely gorgeous, I love it! I want to make a similar skirt for a while but I can’t find the right fabric, and of course there’s the price of pleating. But I think it’s totally worth it!

no need to apologize, happy to answer you! :) both fabrics are chiffons (100% polyester), but the upper (beige) is lighter, more seethrough, while the bottom (milk white) is thicker, heavier and just a little seethrough

so maybe it was a little pricy….but so worth that investment….this is very stunning, does not look at all hand crafted…looks like a high end ready to wear piece (which no doubt would have cost way more than the use of a pleating machine)….investment justified! :)
