This is one of my 5 pieces for my Spring 2010 collection. I’m using sustainable and recycled fabrics and natural dyes. This is a dress I patterned several seasons ago. It has pockets and is dyed with rusted washers.

I love the pattern too, I would love to know your dying technique and how you used the washers!

sweet! can’t wait to see more about this technique! kudos on using all sustainable fabrics… where do you get your materials? online or from a local seller? do you like bamboos or organic cottons? I really love the look of the neckline here! adorable!

I’ve been purchasing it at Jo-Ann’s with my 50% coupon one 12 yd bolt at a time. I’m not really a fan of bamboo, because it’s a chemical process and it’s basically rayon, but it’s the only thing I could buy that I knew I could get more of if need to fill orders rapidly. The stuff shrinks tremendously the first time it’s washed but I haven’t figured the shrink percent. Tomorrow I will begin dying and I should complete the process by Monday.

Not a problem. I have more fabric to dye this weekend and will take pics and add to techniques.
