Description

I love to try sewing new patterns and this top was a bit challenging. The fabric was not so easy to handle on the shoulders.. I have used pattern #133 Burda 06/2012. I bought this Burda magazine in Poland so it was not so easy to read the instruction for me…, but I did manage in the end and I’m really happy with this top :-)

wow, you look fantastic Ellen. all my favourite colours together. looks so comfortable. Thinking of making this in a silk satin chiffon, usually can pick up at emmaonesock, she has the best of the best silks, but much cheaper than you would think!

Thank very much for nice comments :) With your taste of fabric, I’m sure you will find a delicate and lovely silk fabric to make this top :) I did shop at the website you mention yesterday, so I’m looking forward to receive the package! Ji-Ha :-))

Nice top! Looks so comfortable! (I must have missed this while I was away) If you ever need instructions in English, send me an email, and if I have the issue, I’ll type out the instructions for you.

You are so Kind Rita – I really appreciate that! I often buy magazine when we are travelling because it’s not so easy to find in my local shops (we are living on the countryside..) I will keep that in mind – Thank you very, very much! :-) Hugs!

Wonderful top, Ellen! I would never pay attention to this pattern but your interpretation is so lovely, made with great taste, can’t stop admiring you in it: you look charmimg, cheerful and very beautiful. I like your project very very very much!!!

By the way, I had a period when used Polish issues, too. I subscribed the magazine one year and in Polish it was much cheaper than in Russian but it wasn’t a problem for me because Polish and Ukrainian have something in common.

Oh, thank you, thank you very, very much Oksana! That’s too much nice words for me….! I’m glad you like it :-)
Since we have a factory in Poland I’m travelling to Koszalin several times a year and therefore it’s easy for me to buy Burda magazine when I’m there. Lucky you who can understand Polish.. :)

Oh my goodness that print is divine! I am a fan of the animal prints that pop. Another beautiful blouse, you overcame the fabric handling challenges magnificently.

This is a lovely top and the fabric is so nice. You really are great at trying all the different styles that I simply overlook. You are very good at using the Polish version too. I have been given 3 gorgeous Patrones magazines and have used Google translate and I cannot make sense of some of the instructions. I end up laughing as the translation is so funny.

It’s gorgeous on you and the fabric’s fab. I had to laugh when i read about you buying this burda issue in poland!! the polish burdas where how i started sewing again. I was working alongside a young polish girl and of course we got chatting. We both shared a love of sewing and i said i wish i could still buy the magazines i used to get in the 80’s (i can’t remember the magazine name) where you traced out the patterns, she mentioned burda then brought me in a pile of hers. It took me a while and quite a bit of translating plus sore heads but i traced my first pattern then i started buying my.own and the rest is history lol. I buy patrones when i’m in spain as well x

That fun to hear :-) Then you have more experience than me.. I buy sewing magazines wherever I’m travelling too, so I have to use google translate to understand the instruction some times.. :)
