This is a super simple skirt made out of a sparkle knit. I’ve been seeing similar skirts all over pinterest lately and have coveted one for the longest time. It seemed like it would be simple enough to make.. I picked a bronze colored sequin knit thinking it would be a bit less flashy than something gold or silver, and I’m really happy with how it turned out.
I dont have a pattern, but could easily post a tutorial if someone is interested. It’s just 2 rectangles, one for front and one for back. I serged the side seams together. The waistband is made out of a double-knit for comfort… I thought the sequins might make for a pretty itchy waistband. I inserted wide elastic into the waistand for more support. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear and the tight cut doesn’t make it look like it has an elastic waist. Inserting a zipper into sequined stretch fabric didn’t sound like something I wanted to attempt.
It was cool and comfortable for August heat, but I’m especially looking forward to wearing it with leggings and a sweater this winter.
