I saw a Michael Kors Galaxy collection jumpsuit and loved it. I went on ebay and found a company that will print whatever you like on any fabric. Then I decided to recreate (with some changes to suit me) the jumpsuit.
For the pattern, I used a bodice from a Butterick retro range dress and a pair of my trousers to create my own pattern.
I made a test suit out of an old sheet before cutting up my precious space fabric. Then I spent ages deliberating where I wanted which bits of pattern I wanted to be where on the garment. I ended up using the test suit as the lining.
I’m really please with the finished piece!
