I found this amazing coat on Modcloth site few months ago, wondering where could I find this type of fabric, with all that amazing embroidery at the edges. Finally I found this amazing embroidery wool locally, I bought 5 mts cause the embroidery was just set on one side. I tried to stick to the original model using a basic 4 buttoned coat pattern and then the skirt was made drapping by hand till it got the desired shape. Frontal skirt has deep fine pleats with stitches and also at the back. I made the collar pattern just exact as the original model. Two pockets at every side.
4 Silk Covered buttons for the final touches. Every single pleat and seam was really well ironed for this final neat result.
As you know I adore vintage, I arrange the look with the mary jane shoes, and the pill box style hat I also made.
At the last picture the peticoat is not supoussed to be seeing, sorry for that I just found the picture very nice. Linned very carefully in contrast pink and silver trim.
I feel very proud of this accomplishment, specially when I save myself 250 bucks
