My sister has had long hair her whole life. This past year, she cut it all off and loves it! It is a short pixie cut and it she now has a lovely classic look. Her look reminded me of Julie Andrews from The Sound of Music. I wanted to make a dress for her inspired by one of the looks from the movie. I searched and found one that I thought would look great on her. Since we are sisters, we pretty much have the same body structure (she is a little smaller than me in the waste and I adjusted for that). I used a Made by Wendy dress pattern that I had already fit to my body for the dress. I found some amazing turquoise fabric that had flower stitching. I drafted a collar and made the sleeves longer. I really enjoyed making this for her.
cotton, lace.

Thanks:) It is fun making variations on a dress once you make one. I will have to post the versions that I made for myself.

Thanks! The Sound of Music dress even has fabric very similar. I was excited to find it.
