My first go with the Sorbetto top. Well, I decided I have enough tops anyway and besides it’s much easier to make up one’s mind what to wear if it’s one-piece instead of two. So, I glued the S. top with a skirt. This is actually another remake. I bought this second hand set of shirt and skirt made of wine red viscose because I really liked the fabric and there was more than enough of it to make a dress. I’ve used the shirt for the top and left the original buttons in the back (yes, I have this thing for buttons in the back). Had to grade the S. top even lower than size 0… Not sure whether I like the bust darts so high, so I might as well move them lower next time if I’m using the patter again. The skirt part is just a collection of folds that I adapted for the upper part with side pockets included for good measure. I wanted this to be a comfortable summer dress that floats instead of clinging to my body and it turned out just fine!
P.s. Sorry for the grainy pictures – it’s still quite hard to catch a moment with proper daylight in here.

A lovely little dress. I agree about dresses being easier.
A fellow hula hooper I see. The best way to keep fit – you can do it practically anywhere and you don’t have to change your clothes (well not usually!).

Yip, dresses save time.
Your comment about the h.hooper is also true, so I asked my son to take a picture of me having a go with it for your amusement ;)

I love this dress, even more if it is ucycled material. I am crazy about upcycling lately. I was looking for some pattern for the 20’s inspired dress, comfy and not so figure hugging. This is it, Will be making one soon myself.
