My sister Megan was married on the beaches of Cape Cod and it was a gorgeous summer wedding. It was my first attempt at bridal. I designed the bride’s custom washed silk empire gown, she wanted a ‘beach chic’ vibe and a simple silhouette. Cut from soft and supple ivory washed silk this dress has an empire waist and a flowing gathered skirt. A subtle scalloped trim details the neckline and straps.
Soft and stretchy the bridesmaids’ chic frocks worked well on our varied body types. And you can step right in and pull it up! Soft boning is hidden within the side seams of the bodice to keep a flattering shape. A strong elastic band at the top opening keeps this dress in place all day long—I know from experience, that’s me to the left of the bride!
My Mother asked me to design her a simple tiered tank dress in coral silk—she looked lovely and the color of her dress really popped.
The flower girl is also wearing one of my dresses, cut from white linen and edged in hydrangea blue pearl stitches.
