Description
My wedding dress….
a dream dress made reality with the help of my grandma and mom, hence the 3 generations
strapless drapey, ball gown dress fit for a flowery butterfly garden nymph.
Although my wedding dress did not take place in a garden, i certainly felt invincible in it ;>
draping along the skirts and silk flower buds created by my grandma. She also hand beaded all the lace down the bodice and also all along the train and bottom skirt.
The dress closed in the back with a zipper but little pearl buttons were sewn up the back for a button up effect
so much fun to create and imagine and drape(i did the draping, my mom did most of the sewing)
and like all procrastinators, the night before my wedding we were all hand sewing, even my dad jumped in to help…. it was a full family collaboration, and i couldn’t have been happier

I agree, and yet it can be a little stressful because it’s like ’sew sew sew, fit it, get it right, make it well" but it was all so worth it, and i feel that it really brought us closer together as a family
