St. Paul, Minnes...
I needed a costume for a dead celebrity party this last weekend. I decided to go as Marilyn Monroe, and had this really tacky gold material with little sequins already attached to it (I have no idea why I ever bought that in the first place….) I made a simple halter top and attached a huge skirt to it. Then I whipped up a tie to cover the seams.
I seriously made this in like 30 minutes. We decided to go about 2 hours before the party started. Tony was DJ AM. I used duct tape to make the letters DJ (little lightning bolt) AM and we put them on an old pair of head phones. He hacked up his beard and wore his regular clothing. Oddly enough…We both won gift certificates in the costume contest.
