Sencha pattern from Colette Patterns – view 3. I lowered the neckline a little as this is my third blouse from this pattern and the pattern as drafted comes alittle too high on the neck for me. I also bound the hem with black satin bias and used satin ribbons for the ties rather than making ties out of the fabric. The buttons on the back are covered with the same fabric as the blouse.

Really nice! And quite different to others I’ve seen in that same pattern. I’m a sucker for subtle polkadots…

That top is so lovely! I can’t decide what’s better – the front or back! It’s beautiful from all around :)

Such a beautiful piece, so subtle and sophisticated. Congratulations! I have a question on this pattern: Is it easy to do up the buttons yourself? (I always thought you’d need long arms or a degree as a contortionist)

Thank you very much! I have to admit that on this version as I have lowered the neckline I can get the top on and off without having to undo the buttons – I can just pop it over my head. But even on the other versions I did (with the higher neckline) I could get them over my head by undoing only the top button – otherwise I admit that doing the buttons up yourself can be a bit of a challenge.

This, even from very close up, looks like it was purchased from a lovely little shop. VERY nicely done.

That’s very nice, when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a dress. Again, it’s really nice! The bow is such a nice detail and the fact that’s a contrasting color makes it even nicer :D

I think your version is far lovelier than the original! I prefer the lower neckline and just love the covered buttons on the back.
