I took a really ugly mini-accordion pleat dress I bought at Salvation Army for $2.50 and refashioned it into a skirt with a button waistband. After picking apart the seam that attached the bodice to the skirt, I had to pick apart the skirt seam as well so I could remove about 4 inches of fabric (there were three holes ranging from eraser head sized to dime sized in the bottom of the skirt). I resewed the seam, gathered, and inserted into the waistband (which I crafted using a few different tutorials I found around the internets).

Why thank you! These shoes, while absolutely delightful to look at, are a real pain in the arse (well, foot really) to wear! I call them my “Sitting Only” shoes…
