With the severe lack of sewing in my life, I decided to go back to basics from a lack of inspiration. I made some soft toy frogs a few years ago and gave one to my sister. My nieces (especially the eldest) were taken by it and instantly fell in love, insisting on its name and not letting go of it.
I kept the pattern for them from ages ago and was dismayed to discover it had been taken down from the website I originally found it on. You could use a sewing machine to make them, but I prefer to hand sew for things that are a bit more fiddly.
Two different fabrics (one for back and one for front). A cotton or woven fabric is best as using a knit can make it look more whale than frog.
Two buttons for eyes
Soft toy stuffing or dried lentils.
Sparkle in pretty tanks, easy dresses, and a romper with splashes of sequins.
