I wanted to soften and elaborate the frilly fronted JJ Blouse imagining I might wear it on a warm breezy summer night. I made it sleeveless to keep the focus on the centre frills which are enlarged with edges left raw to compliment the freyed like Mad Cortes fabric print. The result is that the ruffles almost blur with the rest of the fabric like the feathery plumage of an exotic bird (or old bird like me).
I used ‘Boy Meets Girl’ 100% Silk Chiffon by Mad Cortes from Tessuti’s online shop. The size is 38 or size 10 AUS.
