Simplicity 7811, 1970s
I did this up as a sort of muslin and as my final Summer Sewing Essentials project. I wanted to make the hooded version but I’m glad I did this version because it left a lot to be desired. It doesn’t fit properly as my shoulders are narrow and I had to pull the back into darts to avoid the maternity wear look. The trim was added this morning as a sort of quick-fix and I at least like that since the color of the fabric I used is kind of pukey-pink.
If I make it again I’ll: Narrow the shoulders, shorten the sleeves, dart the back, choose better fabric!
