Vogue 1030 evening dress made with silk crepe de chine and silk georgette. I made this dress for my wedding reception. As I work full time, this dress had taken me 2.5 months (every weekends) to finish. I really enjoyed the result though because the dress is really comfortable to wear and the fluted train is really pretty. You can see the making of the dress from muslin to finish on my blog:

I also included the step by step photos of the hairline hem in here:

silk crepe de chine, silk georgette, silk kimono thread, straight stitch foot, straight stitch needle plate, large ironing board, even larger cutting table

Thanks! I also made my wedding dress but it’s actually simpler because I need to hand carry it from London to Hong Kong. I’ll blog about that soon!

Thank you for the hem tutorial – I am also making this dress, and was unsure how to hem it neatly!
The dress looks stunning in red.

Thanks! It’s a great pattern. I should have given myself more time to make it though because i kind of run out of time towards the deadline… :)
