I was invited to go out with my friends for a girls’ night and decided I needed a new outfit. This simple dress was so quick.

The fabric is Alexander Henry's Kicks in gold. It's a quilting-weight cotton, so it's got more body than I would have liked, making it look more like a muu-muu than a dress. I think the gold belt helps with that. When I have a moment I will add an elastic to bring it in.

Its really cute! I’m so happy to see what the dress will look like with a waist belt, when i saw it on the home page something at the waist was i thought the dress needed, its fun to see someone else thought the same and to know it’s a really cute addition.

Thanks everyone! I was so nervous wearing this out for the first time, I always am with handmade stuff! Now I’m proud of it.
