When I don’t know what to make but still want to do something, I make a Port Elizabeth. I love this simple but versatile pattern.

I love that you used snap tape. I have some in my stash, but I’ve never used it because I am not sure about the way to insert it. Any tips?

I’m in love with snap tape, it’s the best thing. With this top and the other one (super romantic port elizabeth) I cut the front piece in two, leaving about 6 cm seam allowance for the center seam. After sewing it together, leaving about 15 cm open on the top (or as long as the tape you want to put in + however long you need to make the neckline you want. In this case I just folded it twice, in the super romantic version I used facing, there is a close up picture if you check it out) I folded the seam allowance on the inside, leaving about 2,5 cm to sew the snap tape onto, folding the raw tape edges in.
It’s a simple way to do it and it does leave a seam down the center front so one day I will try to come up with a way to do it without having to cut the whole piece into two.
Also, when sewing it, my presser foot kept sliding of the little plastic snap parts so I had to be really careful to get it (sort of) even.
It’s not much but I hope this can help a little :)
Good luck!
