The first time I saw the fabric, I did not think twice to buy it – I really loved the print on the sides. Silly me, I didn’t even stop and think that the type of fabric is really difficult to sew. This is a pattern I made with my blocks. I placed smocking on the waist, back and on the sleeves. You would notice the smocking on the lighter print on the fabric which looks horrible – really needs fixing :)
jersey – knit type fabric, sheer but heavy.

I really like the print on the fabric and you worked with it wonderfully! The pattern of the dress nicely brings the print out.

this is beautiful- i love the sleeves and the way the lighter strip follows around the neckline. i don’t have a problem with the smocking on the lighter print at all!
