Description

The pillows that came with our couch and loveseat were getting really compressed (the filling was cheap polyfill) and uncomfortable, so I made muslin pillow liners and wrapped new fiber fill around the old. Then I made removable covers with zippers across one side, so they’d be easily removable for cleaning. We have 2 cats and a dog, so this is essential! The new pillows are slightly larger than the old ones, and we made a few extra for that crowded, shabby-chic look on each couch. They’re super-comfortable, brighten up the whole room with their color, and made a big difference in the couches’ usability. If you need directions on making pillows with zippers, check out The Pillow Book (Chronicle Books, 2008).

With pillows it’s all about the print, and you chose very well!
