Based on Burda style magazine pattern 102 04/2010 I made a jacket /vest, using denim. I admit that as a jacket it is pretty useless, I sometimes feel breezy in it, but it is fun to wear.
Light to medium weight denim, satin printed lining, domed buttons.

This is such a great example, and is giving me lots of tips as I muddle my way through the pattern instructions. Thanks!

It looks great as a jacket, good idea. I even like it better than as just a blouse.

Hi your blouse looks great! It inspired me to make it. I just bought this pattern, assembled it, and am about to start cutting it out but then i realised i’m confused. Could you please help!? :) I’m only confused on what to cut out. It’s not written very well. Is this all i need:
“21” x 2
“22” x 1 on fold
“23” x 1 on fold
It just seems like there should be more pieces of fabric. It mentions self facings, do i need to cut those? Or will it just become clear when i start making it. I’m pausing the cutting until your reply. Thankyou in advance!!

Hi again :)
Thanks for all your replies, I’ve finished mine now. I was only double checking because i had only JUST the right amount of fabric.

this is really cute! I want to try this pattern but I’m not sure the shape would suit me. Looks great on you!
